Gabriel Villegas is a multidisciplinary educator, playwright, and corporate trainer whose career bridges the worlds of language, theater, and instructional design. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Puerto Rico and a Master of Arts in Spanish from the University of Central Florida. He also completed 27 doctoral credits in the Doctor of Education program in Curriculum & Instruction – Worldwide Languages specialization at UCF, where his research focused on the effectiveness of theater as a pedagogical intervention in language education.
With over 20 years of experience in the U.S. federal government, Gabriel spent the last decade designing and managing employee training programs. He is an ATD Certified Instructional Designer and holds the Kirkpatrick Bronze Certification in the Four Levels of Training Evaluation.
Gabriel is the founder of Teatro for the Soul, a Spanish-language theater company that blends education and performance to promote linguistic and cultural engagement. His passion lies in adapting classic literary works for modern audiences, especially young learners. His acclaimed production Don Quijote en USA is currently touring schools across the United States, bringing Cervantes’ timeless story to life in interactive and memorable ways.
He is also the founder of the Orlando Conservatory for the Performing Arts and currently serves as CEO of The Spanish Network, a Spanish-language media content company. In Bogotá, Colombia, he directs training initiatives through Corporación Aire, developing corporate learning experiences in Spanish.
Gabriel is the author of 12 theatrical plays and 4 short films, all written in Spanish, and a former Spanish professor at Valencia College and Ana G. Méndez University. His lifelong mission is to promote the Spanish language through innovative and creative approaches in both educational and professional settings.
